A strong earthquake shook Hawaii at around 7AM local time (2PM EDT). The quake registered at 6.3 on the Richter Scale and was centered on the northwestern side of the Big Island of Hawaii. So far, there have been no fatalities and few injuries reported. Rock slides have been the major concern from the quake. The rock slides have shut down transportation on the northwestern side of the island.
