Hurricane Paul seems to be spinning up and taking aim at the Baja peninsula of Mexico. Paul is strengthening and currently a category 2 hurricane with sustained winds of 110 mph. Infrared imagery is not especially impressive but this hurricane deserves monitoring if you have interests in the area.
Paul is expected to pass just south of the Baja peninsula before striking the west coast of Mexico as a weak hurricane or strong tropical storm.
