I just cannot see what NHC is looking at when saying that TD Six is nearing tropical storm strength. To my eye there is little change from yesterday. With that said, if TD Six does develop a strong area of central convection, it could very quickly reach tropical storm strength. Below is the latest IR shot showing how spotty the convection is.

As you can see below, NHC's latest advisory seems to be nothing more than a blind adherence to the models. However, it is hard to offer more than that at this time.
