TD Eight becomes Helene

Right now we are dealing with both Helene and Gordon in the Atlantic. There is not much to say about Gordon. The storm is very compact, but a well developed hurricane. Fortunately it is headed out to sea and not much of a threat to anyone.

Tropical Depression Eight has recently been upgraded to Tropical Storm Helene. Right now Helene is far from land and not an immediate threat to anyone, but the future is still in question. Helene is still a weak tropical storm and located very close to an area of dry Saharan air, but thus far has avoided the dry air and looks to continue strengthening.
