Florence discontinued, Gordon headed out to sea, TD Eight is here to play

Ok, so news? Yup, we've got that. Florence has transitioned to an extratropical system, Gordon is headed out to sea, and Tropical Depression Eight is here to play!

Tropical Storm Gordon is not too big of a deal right now but I will continue to keep an eye on it. However, it looks to be harmlessly heading out to sea while it strengthens.

Newly formed Tropical Depression Eight is approaching tropical storm strength and will likely be upgraded tonight or early tomorrow. However, for now TD Eight looks to likely recurve harmlessly out so sea, but it is still very early to be saying this. So far this year most of the storms have not been a threat to the continent.
