Ernesto Makes Landfall (Again)
September 1, 2006 - 2:38 AM UTC (subtract 4 hours for EDT)

Looks like the northern eyewall of Ernesto came ashore west of Cape Fear just after 10:30pm (Eastern). Reports are of rainfall in excess of 7 inches in New Hanover County (Wilmington, NC), as well as a current tornado warning for the county...the first of many, I'm sure, as Ernesto plows inland.
