UPDATE: The hurricane hunters did not find a closed circulation. However, this does not mean one will not develop in the near future. We will continue to monitor this system for further development.
Invest 91L, a strong tropical wave, has been flaring up and fading for days now. This time it seems to have fired an especially strong burst and may be forming into a tropical depression. Hurricane hunters are currently in route and we will have more when they report back. For now we can say that outflow looks very healthy and a surface circulation looks be forming, although we can't say whether or not it has closed off.
