Cyclone Floyd threatens Australia

Coming on the heels of Category 5 Cyclone Larry's punishing strike on Australia, another cyclone named Floyd has set its sights on the continent nation.

Current satellite imagery shows a very well defined eye wrapped with deep convection. Microwave imagery indicates a solid and strong eye wall with two well defined bands.

As you can see from the microwave imagery, eyewall replacement does not seem to be a factor in the near future. The models seem to indicated steady strengthening an a general track towards land. Now is time for those of you living in Learmonth and south to think about cyclone preparedness.

For those of you who are wondering, yes this is my attempt to get back into practice for the Atlantic season coming in a couple months. I hope you all bought flood insurance this year.
