Cyclone Larry struck Queensland yesterday as a Category 5 tropical cyclone. While its winds were up to a weak category 5, its central pressure was not indicative of a storm of such strength. Fortunately, no deaths related to the storm have yet to be reported and only a few minor injuries are known. Unfortunately, Tropical Storm Wati is waiting right off shore and moving towards Australia. While Wati is forecast to curve away from the coast, the storm should be monitored closely.
