Hurricane-sea interactions in the Gulf of Mexico

Some of you may have noticed a recent lack of action around here. First off, there is a blocking pattern in place which means there isn't much exciting weather right now. The Mid-Atlantic may get some ice tonight, but I am not expecting a major storm. Additionally, this represents the end of reading period and finals for me, as I am still a PhD student. Starting tomorrow I get to grade a lot of homework and finals too. However, here is a relatively short paper that I have been working on. There should be a lot more to been seen in forthcoming months, but I hope you enjoy it for now!
