Tropical Storm Delta transitions to an extratropical system

At 10:00am EST, the National Hurricane Center discontinued advisories on Tropical Storm Delta. At that time Delta was packing sustained winds of 65 mph. Dry air has worked into the core of Delta and has developed many extratropical features. The core of Delta is vertically tilted and it has the appearance of an occluded system.

Delta is currently impacting the Canary Islands. Satellite estimates currently place the winds around 45 mph. Delta is forecast to continue towards to Morocco coast.0:Infrared satellite1:Delta forecast track
