Tropical Storm Vince making landfall in Europe

Thus far Vince has refused to die. Right now Tropical Storm Vince is closing in on the Iberian Peninsula and should make landfall within a few hours. The forecast track should slam into southern Portugal and southwest Spain, skirting extreme northwestern Morocco.

Maximum sutained winds remain at about 45 mph. Tropical storm force winds extend out up to 115 miles from the center of storm. This area of Europe is not used to such high winds so this storm could definitely have a significant impact. Vince is now showing up on Portugese radar as he approaches the coast. As of 11:00pm EDT, Vince was only 55 miles of the coast of Portugal.
