That deep flare of convection that I was talking about yesterday has continued to persist. The cloud tops remain very cool, and activity has been steady.

Since the convection has persisted for so long, I expect that we will soon start to see rotation in the system. The models are calling for a steady intensification over the next few days.

As it develops, the system should track up the Mexican coast and eventually recurve back at the continent.
