New tropical depression forms in the Atlantic

Ladies and gentlemen, we now have Tropical Depression 25 in the Atlantic. The tropical depression is currently located in the Caribbean south of Puerto Rico. The initial advisory lists it with sustained winds of 35 mph and a central pressure of 1007 mb. Tropical Storm Warnings of in effect for Hispanola and Tropical Storm Watches are up in the southeastern Bahamas.

Satellite and radar imagery indicates that TD 25 is becoming increasingly well organized and has plenty of deep convection. We will likely see the formation of historic Tropical Storm Alpha later today.
