Hurricane Stan pulls a fast one

I am very surprised with what Stan has done overnight. The latest adivsory lists now Hurricane Stan at 979 mb with sustained winds of 75 mph. Stan is still strengthening and should impact Mexico as an even stronger hurricane this morning.

The computer models seemed to have no idea what Stan was doing. Right now he is steaming towards the coast and they still don't know where he'll impact. I expect than NHC's track is on target and Stan should continue his current motion towards the southwest.

Airborne radar indicates healthy spiral banding forming into an eyewall. The central convection is extremely healthy with some cloud tops colder than -90C. If you were wondering, that is amazing.
