NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAUNTON MA
338 AM EDT SAT OCT 15 2005
* AT 225 AM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED AN AREA OF
VERY HEAVY RAIN IN NORFOLK AND SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX
COUNTIES...HEADED FOR THE CITY OF BOSTON.

RAINFALL JUST BETWEEN 2 AND 5 AM MAY EXCEED 3 INCHES IN THE WARNING
AREA...ON TOP OF WHAT HAS ALREADY FALLEN. SMALL STREAMS AND URBAN
DRAINAGES WILL FLOOD IN THE AREA. SOME ROADS WILL LIKELY BE UNSAFE
TO PASS.

A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN REPORTED.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED ROADWAYS. MANY ROADS IN THE
GREATER BOSTON AREA WILL LIKELY BECOME UNSAFE TO DRIVE THROUGH FOR A
WHILE THIS MORNING...AND EVEN WASHOUTS ARE POSSIBLE ON SOME ROADS.

FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS PROVIDED BY YOUR LOCAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICIALS. IF YOU ARE ASKED TO EVACUATE...DO SO IMMEDIATELY. AVOID FLOOD PRONE LOCATIONS. KNOW THE ALTERNATE ROUTES IN YOUR LOCATION SO YOU AVOID AREAS WHERE FLOOD WATERS MAY HAVE DAMAGED OR CLOSED AREA ROADWAYS.
